Cutting-edge research and responsibility
Scientists work for the benefit of society, and their task is to continuously push boundaries. We believe that only through high-quality, transparent, and ethical research can we respond to contemporary challenges.
Principles of ethical research
High-quality research is ethical research. That is why we strictly adhere to modern ethical requirements, particularly with regard to
- or approach to participants – we follow the guidelines of the MUNI Research Ethics Committee
- approach to transparent procedures and results – we follow the principles of Open Science
What is Open Science?
PRINS is based on an open approach to science, known as Open Science.
As part of this approach, we strive to make the results of our research easily accessible to other experts and the general public, and to conduct our research in a transparent manner. We therefore collaborate with Masaryk University's Open Science Center to achieve the widest possible sharing of scientific results in the form of professional articles and research data.
The most important aspects of Open Science for us are
- publications in Open Access mode, i.e., freely available. All published information is covered by the international CC BY 4.0 license, which means that the work can be freely distributed and modified for commercial and non-commercial purposes, provided that the authorship of the original work is acknowledged.
- Transparency through the Open Reproducible Research approach. This includes pre-registration of hypotheses and freely accessible data materials.
