Why is the project needed?
The PRINS project addresses current social challenges – from increasing needs in the mental health sector and global societal polarisation to an ageing population. In the 21st century, humanity will face numerous challenges. High-quality data and knowledge are crucial for the successful and sustainable development of society.
Project Aims
The PRINS project examines how individualization affects Czech society – from family and intergenerational relationships to mental health and social cohesion. The aim is not only to understand these changes, but also to offer specific tools and recommendations that will help to better respond to new challenges.
The results of the project will be useful not only to academics, but also to public institutions, the media, and practitioners – THE MAIN GOAL IS TO CREATE A MORE RESILIENT AND CONNECTED SOCIETY.
The project will contribute to
- Evidence-based family policy – research into intergenerational support and changes in partner behaviour will contribute to better social and family policy strategies.
- Proposals for solutions to mental health care access – the project will develop new methods for using digital technologies in psychotherapy, including automatic summarisation of therapy sessions.
- Reduction of social polarisation – identifying mechanisms that promote or mitigate social division will help politicians and the media communicate more effectively and strengthen cohesion.
- Innovation in research – the development of new methods of data collection and analysis will reduce the costs of social science research and enable more accurate measurement of social dynamics.
- Connecting top scientists – research and interdisciplinary collaboration are essential requirements of our time, and our project is designed to promote cohesion among Czech experts across disciplines.
Project Outcomes
As part of the project, we will build new knowledge and disseminate it among experts, the media, and the public.
