Throughout the day, participants presented work covering a wide range of topics, including family and reproductive behaviour, migration, digitalisation, social stratification, work, culture, and political participation.
The mini-conference provided an opportunity to present ongoing research, engage in scholarly discussion, and establish new collaborations among project members. The chance to meet across thematic areas and jointly discuss current research questions is one of the key benefits of these gatherings.

Can parents love their child and still regret becoming parents? In an interview for MF DNES, psychologist Lenka Štěpánková from the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University discusses the phenomenon of parental regret. Research shows that some parents would not choose parenthood again, even though they love their children and strive to be the best parents they can be. The topic raises important questions about loss of identity, loneliness, social expectations, and the need to talk about parenthood without idealization or shame. The research was conducted by Lenka Štěpánková and Lenka Lacinová from the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University.
